Let's get started

New Canvas 650 x 250 - set your foreground colour too #ff6cbf and background colour too #000000
Click on the foreground colour to bring up the materials tab
Select the gradient tab-use the following settings

Flood fill your canvas with this gradient
Bring up the materials properties again
Use the following settings

New raster layer-flood fill with this gradient-change the blend mode to screen
Open up your texture of choice-colourize it if necessary
Copy and paste this onto your canvas
Change the blend mode to soft light-if it doesn't look right to you
You can always change the blend mode to something else

Open up your tube of choice-arrange as below

Close off the tube to the far left and 2 flood filled gradient layers
Merge visible the tube layers-reopen the flood filled layers and the tube layer on the left
On the merged tube layer-duplicate-on the duplicated layer
Adjust-blur-gaussian blur-radius 3.00
Change the blend mode to screen also on the original merged tube layer
Depending on what tube you are using it may not look right to you
So just play about with the different blend modes until you get something you like
Select the duplicated tube layer
Effects-plugins-VanDerLee-Unplugged X-Interlace-default settings-hit ok
Repeat the above for you tube layer on the left of your canvas

Copy and paste your tube of choice-arrange where desired
We are adding this now just so we can get the wording in the right places
We will add effects to the tube later on

Select the original merged tube layer and close off the duplicated merged tube layer for now
We are going to add a thin white rectangle, wording and dotted lines now
Make sure these layers stay under the duplicated merged tube layer
Preset shape-rectangle-foreground off-background white
Draw out a thin rectangle for your wording to go on
Convert to raster-lower the opacity to around 44
Using a font of choice-I am using Times New Roman
Add the words 'Cute Lil Emo' arrange as above
Using a pixel font of choice-I am using Pixelette-size 6 anti alias off
Again add the words 'Cute Lil Emo' repeat this a few times
Arrange this just above your main wording
Duplicate-then arrange this just below your main wording
Using the pen tool-line style diamond or dot-size 2
Colour to match-draw out a long line
Convert to raster-arrange this just above the top pixel wording
Duplicate then arrange just below the bottom pixel wording
Reopen the duplicated merged tube layer
It may look different to how mine looks again depending on what tube you used
If you are not happy with how it looks you can always move the duplicated merged tube layer
Below the wordings and the dotted lines
Just play about to get something you like

Preset shape-rectangle-draw out another white thin rectangle
Rotate this left by 90-arrange this to the far left of your canvas
Convert to raster-lower the opacity to around 44
Using a pixel font of choice-add the wording 'Cute Lil Emo'
Rotate this left by 90-arrange on the thin rectangle on the left
Convert to raster-you may add some dotted lines to this as seen above

Repeat the above for another rectangle but abit thicker than the last
Arrange this just to the left of your main tube
Using a font of choice-I am using Impact
Again add the words 'Cute Lil Emo' but in black
Rotate left by 90-arrange on the thicker rectangle
Change the blend mode to soft light
Using a script font of choice-I am using Carpenter
Again add the words 'Cute Lil Emo' but in a colour to match your tube
Rotate left by 90-arrange over the last words we added
Adjust-add/remove noise-add noise-use the following settings

Drop shadow 1, 1, 20, 2.00 black

Make sure your main tube layer is above all the rest of the layers
Duplicate your main tube layer-adjust-blur-gaussian blur-radius 3.00
Change the blend mode to soft light-duplicate this layer
Change the blend mode to screen then lower the opacity to around 60
Again depending on what tube you are using if it doesnt look right
Just play about with the blend modes
On the original main tube layer-add drop shadow 1, 1, 20, 2.00 black

Now we are going to add the sparkle texture
This part is optional so its upto you if you add the sparkles or not
Make sure you are on the duplicated merged tube layer
Using the selection tool-rectangle-draw a selection around the right half of your canvas
See screeny below

New raster layer
Choose a sparkle from the file-open it up-you will see they are only icon textures
Click on the foreground colour to bring up the materials properties box
Select the pattern tab-and look for the sparkle texture
Click ok-flood fill the selected area with the texture
Selections-select none
Change the blend mode to soft light-lower the opacity to around 64
Again play with the blend mode settings if you feel it doesn't look right

Now we will add some borders to your banner
Select the very last layer on your canvas
Selections-select all-selections-float-selections-defloat
Selections-modify-select selection borders-use the following settings

New raster layer-flood fill with #ff6cbf-selections-select none
Move this layer to the very top
Repeat the above but change the border width to 6
New raster layer then flood fill with #000000-selections-select none
Move this layer just below the first border we did-repeat the above but change the border width to 8
New raster layer then flood fill with #ffffff
Move this layer just below the second border we did
Add a drop shadow of 1, 1, 20, 2.00 black
Select the first border layer we did
Effects-plugins-penta.com-color dot-default settings-click ok

Now you can add your name using a font of choice-I am using Pharmacy
Also now is the time to credit your tag and add proper artist info

Now let's begin animating it

Select the duplicated merged tube layer-this should be just below the sparkle texture layer
You will now see why we didn't merge the tube to the far left with the rest
As we only want the animation on the right side of your banner
Effects-Filter Factory Gallery A-Spotlight-use the following settings

Select the white border layer-adjust-add/remove noise-add noise-use the following settings

Edit-copy merged-open Animation Shop-paste as new animation
Back to PSP-hit undo twice-effects-Filter Factory Gallery A-Spotlight
Same settings as above but just change center x to 84-click ok
Select the white border layer-adjust-add/remove noise-add noise
Change the noise to 32-click ok-edit-copy merged-back to AS
Paste after current frame
Back to PSP now repeat the above 5 more times (for a total of 7 frames in AS)-keep upping the center x
And lowering the noise by 2 and pasting into AS

Ok now in AS you should have a total of 7 frames-it doesn't matter if you have more
Test our animation-the spotlight should move from left to right
And the border should be glittering

Once happy you can now save your banner as .gif

Now its time to make your avatar

New canvas 150 x 150-edit and copy merged your banner
Paste this onto your avatar canvas
Arrange and place where desired
Now we are going to add the borders-see the above tut for adding the borders as its exactly the same

Add any wording of choice to your avatar

Using a font of choice-add your name and any cr info

Now to animate
Select the white border frame-adjust-add/remove noise-add noise-use the following settings

Edit-copy merged-over to AS-paste as new animation
Back to PSP-hit undo-adjust-add/remove noise-add noise-change the noise to 32
Paste after current frame
Return to PSP one more time-hit undo-adjust-add/remove noise-add noise-change the noise to 30
Back to AS-paste after current frame-test your animation
You can now save it as .gif
