Cute But Bad


This tutorial was written for those
that have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
PSP 9 (any version will work)
Tube of choice
I used artwork by Ted Hammond
If you would like to use her artwork please visit CDO
I bought this tube when Ted was at CILM
Scrap kit by Kristin here
It is a PTU one - Cute But Bad
Tag template #334 by me you can get this from my blog here
Film strip of choice I cannot supply the one I am using
Fonts of choice - I am using Bank Gothic and Feuerfeste Normal

Filters used
VanDerLee - Unplugged X - Interlace
Eye Candy 4000 - gradient glow
Penta.com - color dot

Lets get started

Open up my tag template-image-canvas size-change the width and height to 750x 700-click ok
Close off the copyright layer

Select the circle one layer-selections-select all-float-defloat
Open up paper 4 from Kristin's kit
Copy and paste onto your canvas-selections-invert-hit delete
Selections-select none
Repeat the above for the circle left layer

Select circle 2 layer-repeat the above but using paper 2 from the kit
Repeat for the circle right layer

Select the med circle layer-selections-select all-float-defloat
Open up paper 26-copy and paste onto the selected area
Selections-invert-hit delete-selections-select none

Select the frame 1 background layer-using the magic wand select this
Open up your tube of choice-copy and paste over to your canvas
Selections-invert-hit delete-duplicate this layer
Adjust-blur-gaussian blur-radius 3.00-blend mode soft light
Select the original tube layer-blend mode Luminance (L)
Back onto the duplicated tube layer
Effects-plugins-VanDerLee - Unplugged X - Interlace-default settings
Lower the opacity on both the tube layers to around 50
Repeat the above for the frame 2 background layer

Select the circle left 2 layer
Selections-select all-float-defloat
Copy and paste your tube over the selected circle
Selections-invert-hit delete-duplicate this layer
Adjust-blur-gaussian blur-radius 3.00-blend mode soft light
Select the original tube layer-blend mode Luminance (L)
Back onto the duplicated tube layer
Effects-plugins-VanDerLee - Unplugged X - Interlace-default settings
Repeat the above for the circle right 2 layer

Open up your film strip frame of choice
Copy and paste this onto your tag then arrange as above
Using the magic wand-select the second square-selections-modify-expand by 2.00
New raster layer-flood fill with #71448f-selections-select none
Move this layer below the film strip-repeat for the third square but flood fill with #fe41c2
Now select the first square-selections-modify-expand by 2.00
Copy and paste your tube of choice over the selected area
Once happy with what part of the tube you want showing
Selections-invert-hit delete-selections-select none
Duplicate the tube part layer-adjust-blur-gaussian blur-radius 3.00-blend mode soft light
Back onto the duplicated tube layer
Effects-plugins-VanDerLee - Unplugged X - Interlace-default settings
Back onto the duplicated tube layer
Effects-plugins-penta.com-color dot-use the following settings


Repeat the above for the fourth and final square
Select the film strip layer-add the above color dot settings
Selections-select all-float-defloat-selections-modify-expand by 4.00
New raster layer-foreground #71448f-background #fe41c2
Click on the background colour to bring up the materials properties
Gradient tab-use the following settings


Flood fill the selected area with this gradient
Selections-select none-drop shadow 1, 1, 30, 3.00 black

Now you can add any elements from the kit-see tag above

Using a font of choice-I am using Bank Gothic
Add the words 'Cute' and 'Bad' to your tag-see my tag above

Also you can add some stars if you wish

Copy and paste your tube of choice-arrange this in the center of your tag
Duplicate-adjust-gaussian blur-radius 3.00
Change the blend mode to overlay
On the original tube layer add drop shadow of 1, 1, 30, 3.00 black

Using a font of choice-I am using Feuerfeste Normal
I also added gradient glow to the name



Drop shadow 1, 1, 30, 3.00 black

Crop and resize your tag if needed-add proper copyright info then save your tag as .png
